This is great! It gets really hot in Oklahoma during July and August, and my other masks are becoming hard to breathe in.

Thank You! Yes same here in Arizona it too hot to wear the form fitting mask when it is 110 outside and can breathe a lot better in this one.

Great tutorial!!! The pleating looks easy enough…but I tend to be all thumbs. Is there a specific measurement to fold over for the pleat?

This is a keeper!! I have had such a lousy day...my JoAnn's order was "delivered" by USPS on 7/1. I didn't get it...I have been so excited to start cutting out patterns and making masks. So upset, because in this day and age, can't call anyone, only email. I hope they straighten out. This will be the first thing I make when I DO get it!!! Thank you so much Lele!

@@Lelesdesigns I was trying to work out the pocket also but I think I can do it myself. Also working my brain around a nose piece. This is so cute & I do like some extra breathing space over nose and mouth. Haven't tried it yet though.

Love this mask and cannot wait to sew it. I have been having trouble wearing the pleated masks on the side. I feel like I am suffocating when I shop for groceries especially in this heat. I am undecided on a small quiliting/sewing iron and the reviews on yours say it is uncomfortable to use for any length of time because the whole iron gets to hot to handle, it that true? Thanks and bless you.

Your welcome! glad you like it. amzn.to/326FRg1 I love this iron and highly recommend it and no it does not get to hot to handle at all. I now use this iron more than my big iron as It don't heat up my whole room. Another nice feature is the dial sit on top. I had to return a different brand iron cause the dial was below the handle and I always burn my hand when I shut it off.

It would be best to search here on youtube as its better to see it done. I usually fold on the fabric to the right and put right side together and then place the pattern down.

So perhaps I’m overthinking the pleats..... I’m definitely hung up on it.... Several hours later and I got it the pleats (maybe too big? 🤷🏻♀️) but this doesn’t work right......

Sorry to hear you are having problems. You should have 6 pleats 3 on each 1/2 you don't want to make them to big.

I printed one from my iPad few weeks ago, the size of pattern from fold to very end is 6" and from where it says opening to other side is 6" And just now I printed another one from my lap top, and the size of it came out larger from fold to other end is about 7", And where it says opening to other side is 6 1/2" :D I think I'll go with the one from my iPad. The does that sound about right Lisa? the 6" by 6"

Hi Your Ipad and computer can be printing 2 different settings. You should print letter size. I just updated the pattern to include a 1" box to double check if it printed correctly. the width should be 6.5" and height of pattern is 6.8" Have fun stitching it out.

I added a nose wire by hand stitching some bias tape across the inside of the nose bridge. It didn't take that long to do and made the top snug up nicely.

Its hard to say depending on size of nose and width of face and chin size. the best thing is make one and test to see if you need more material.
