A simple caulking gun solution that uses an electric drill.

I’m sure it’s been said a hundred times, but I’m extremely impressed with the ingenuity of your shop made machines, which look awesome as well as being fit for purpose, but in particular I really like your shop made panel saw. Factory ones cost an arm and 3 legs. The multitude of factory produced shop machines, such as your pillar drill press etc, look way better than any cast iron or crappy thin steel chinesium effort. I can only imagine the sense of satisfaction using your own machines and of course the money saving too.

This is really a great and simple tool, great work JSK-koubou, instead of the 4 screws you could use a hose clamp around the tube to prevent the round wood from being pushed backwards (just an idea). Best regards and keep up your good work

I agree. Plus the heavy drill makes it clunky and unwieldy to use. I can't see the advantages of using this, unless you were using the very large industrial caulking cartridges and needed to dispense the caulk very rapidly over a large area. Seems to me that the manual method has a lot of advantages over this method.

The Makita caulk gun is $130 brand new for the bare tool. If ergonomics are a concern, like you're going to be using it a lot that's a small price to pay for a purpose designed tool that already fits your battery pack of choice. DeWalt and Milwaukee also offer caulk guns similar prices.

Actually with this one I feel something is missing :( All of your creations are full of variation, adjustability, practicality...but this one doesn't. It's a piece of wood that's screwed to the plastic container and you need to hold it in order for it NOT to rotate. Now I get that the version is better then manual squeezing of a hand pistol...but still, comparing to all your previous work, this is a slightly step back. I didn't press a down thumb on the video...just sharing my thoughts.

His raison d'etre. Some of the projects are very useful, some perhaps not so much. This particular project excellent for example shown to save on effort to hands/fingers. Might be tricky to use in confined spaces. Now, a hydraulic plunger on the end of a flexible hose might be just the ticket. Could use both hands for fine caulking purposes and have a foot switch, or switch held between teeth ...😬😁. Now that would be even more useful.
