It depends on the strength of the essential oils. Each one can differ. If you are creating an antibacterial antifungal spray and are reaching for lemon/orange/tea tree I would use 30 drops of each oil. If you are crafting more of an aromatic spray with something like Ylang Ylang, I would reduce it to 7 drops as these can become overwhelming.

I added orange essential oil to my unscented dish soap - it didn’t mix totally well but it smells good. Is it safe to use to wash dishes or did I make a mistake?

Is the dish soap castile? Many people use a combination of essential oils in their dish detergent, I have never tried it before. BUT if you find your dishes are "filmy" with the essential oil grab some Dawn dish soap and rewash. Dawn is my go to for any oil residue.

The Witch Hazel blend will be shelf stable for up to 6 months 😊 just keep it in a cool and dry cupboard or shelf.

How often should I replace this spray if I don’t use it all?

If it has been made with Witch Hazel you will want to replace it every 6 months. If it is crafted with Everclear it is good for a year, and the same goes for perfumers grade alcohol. A hydrosol should be kept cool and in a dark glass bottle to stretch its shelf life 6-9 months 😊
