I would have done horizontals the entire way across the window. the verticles will help hold them in place.

Looks amazing, LOVING the trim around your window ...Will you be putting a white tie up curtain on the window ? You could just get a tension poll as to not cover-up the gorgeous trim ????

I suggest you paint the side of your fridge white to match your cabinets. I did this in my kitchen and it has lightened it up as well as causes it to blend better into the kitchen.

So I'm watching this video for the 3rd time because I'm going to stain wood railing the same as your window. When I mixed up the stain formula it's coming out more of a grey and I don't see that in your window frame. Does it pull more grey and the camera is deceiving?

Oh I SO wanted to show video from the outside!! Maybe I can in my stories over on Instagram to give people an idea...yes you can slightly see glue but it dries clear.

Just FYI to everyone, tape long term on a window will damage it! Please look up other peoples experience before you do this with tape, because it could decrease your homes value! Especially if you just put in new windows! However the look is really gorgeous!

These are called muntins. Nothing at all French about it. Looks good, though. All windows should have muntins. Depending upon the age of the home, there are specific numbers of muntins that go in windows. 18th century, for example, often has 12 over 12. Most homes these days have 8 over 8 or 6 over 6. Craftsman style homes have muntins on the upper sash only. It's generally 3 over 1 or 6 over 1. Another example is Tudor revival, which often has diamond shaped muntins. Often, when people put new windows in (which you should never do if your windows are original to the house), they don't take the muntin arrangement into account, and it ruins the looks of the house.

vivaldi, Are you making a judgment call on tattoos? I don't care for them, but it is a personal choice and obviously this man likes tattoos. Let's keep the comments to the decor ideas and not pick on someone.
