DIY Faux Terracotta Jack O'Lantern Pots | DIY Texture Paint & Plastic Pumpkins

Here's my little twist on the DIY texture paint trend! Gotta make it spooky. Gotta make it Halloween. Here is the materials you'll need:
plastic pumpkins
paint
baking soda
joint compound, wall spackle, or something similar
rope/twine
primer (I used a spray)
spray fixatif or sealer

Have fun! I do suggest sealing them end the end really well if you use joint compound for the white wash- we left some outside last year and the white ended up peeling away! I'm making more this year and will most likely just do a white wash with chalk paint!

@@makewithblake ok I just painted the pumpkins and need to white wash them. How do I white wash them with chalk paint? I’ve never done that. Any tips?

@@amandaa2898 I usually just water down my paint to a consistency I like! I'd start with half water half paint and go from there!

Champagne and Gummy Bears that’s what I used! I mentioned it briefly in the video but forgot to show the can

Hahaha thank you! This was before I started using clips of different songs in my videos- believe me, I cringe watching them back now too because of those kinds of things!
