Great video. I am a himalayan owner too. Given the pathetic job of our service centers, it's good to work on our own. More such videos will be helpfull.

Bro it is awesome . What an idea. I have a doubt. Does the engine heat melts the refill part? Is it good to install with some metal spacer?
@ranjithreddy19104 жыл бұрын
The engine heat won't melt the plastic spacer. You can perform it first with the plastic one and use it for a day or two. If you are satisfied, you can install a metal spacer.

Hey Raja. Thanks for this info. My BS3 is now giving the same noise now. Is this a temporary fix or a permanent type ?
@janmejaybarve70182 жыл бұрын
Very helpful and informative video Raja ji. My BS4 Himalayan has started to make similar noise after 30k kms. However, it doesn't make that noise while idling. That sound appears for approximately 3-4 seconds after putting the bike in 1st gear and covering a distance of about 10-12 feet. Could it be the same issue here?
@RudrakshNaik_77 Жыл бұрын
I do not own a Himalayan. However judging from what you said, it's likely the same issue. I faced a similar issue on my Classic 500.

I'm having the same problem...got a new tensioner ..but the rattling sound persisted...I was advised to change the timing kit set... Do u know how much the set costs?..for bs4
@ranjithreddy19103 жыл бұрын
I don't have an exact idea about the estimated cost. It should be less than 3000rs. If you change only the timing chain and Tensioner.

How many kms is this requir d? I have A bs6
@shajik.damodaran81564 жыл бұрын
It's a temporary solution, pads / chain might have worn out. See in the manual what is the service life of timing chain and pads.
@ranjithreddy19103 жыл бұрын
There isn't an exact interval to replace the timing chain anywhere in the manual and timing chain going bad on a well maintained motorcycle only at 50,000kms is unheard of. This is an example of REs poor quality and it's negligence towards its customers.

Hi brother, video was awesome, is it necessary for a brand new bike??
@ranjithreddy19103 жыл бұрын
No.

It's seems to be efficient but I it's weird to fix a mechanic failure like that...
@ranjithreddy19104 жыл бұрын
I accept that. But, Royal Enfields are no more well built they are being made cheaply these days. The quality is really going down day after day. Himalayans are experiencing a lot of problems only at 50,000kms or 33000miles on the odometer.

@@ranjithreddy1910 Hello what kind of noise did you have before? (Click-clik, vibration,...)?
