Hello, please help! I have all the same materials except I have the explore air 2. The foil is tearing on heavy cardstock, medium and ligh, I’ve tried copy paper but it’s not as crisp.

I used the cricut fold but the borders did not take it I tried both the pen and foil.. what settitngs did you use for the pressures.?

Ughhh when I do it that way my cricuit doesn’t starts at that point it starts on the Mat and it doesn’t move ! Am I doing soemthing wrong ??

There’s another way to make it easier for you put the same measurement in a blank shape cut it as the cricut recommends don’t move it the remove the shape cut and put you acrylic on that space. I don’t know if I explained it in an easy understandable way. I’ll make a little short video for you in a bit:

Hi I actually have a video explaining why I choose foil quill to foil on acrylic. I don't like the fact that the cricut foil comes off easily from the acrylic. Not sure if I answered your question correctly

How many arcylic invitations can you get out of one roll of the Foil? I need to do 200 invitations but don't know how many foil to purchase.

all transfer sheets work for this technique? I used iron-on sheets but it doesn't work... the gold doesn't stick on the acrylic plate... thank you for your answer

To be honest I've only tried 2 brands and the one that worked for me it we r memory keepers. They actually have a high sell going on for this particular product. Go into Joanns.com it's on sale for $3.90 regular prices is 12.99

Hey! You videos was super helpful. Do you know how make sure the foil wont be scratched off so easily? I recently created one and i was able to remove some foil with my nails. Also i used cricut explorer 2 and the grips that hold the mat transfer on to my acrylic. Any idea how to not have that happen? Thank you!!!!!

I have a video comparing the foil quill to the cricut foil. The foil quill doesn't come off as the cricut one.

@yaninaortiz7627 let your heating to on for a bit more I didn't have that problem. Make sure to move the rollers all the way to the end if that's what you're referring to

If it's the circuit foil transfer tool, no you can't it doesn't work with acrylic. I uploaded a video comparing both of the tool on acrylic in case you want to see it.

Hello, I have Cricut Joy 2 but my foil downs stay down it’s like I never put foil on top maybe I’m doing something wrong on the settings. Can you help me please

Make sure you roll all the rollers to the end. Is the foil well taped?, is your foil quill heated,. Setting is 100lb cardstock, pen 0.4,

Hi Emm I use different tools due to their size of them. I use the thicker (blue) one for design and the thin (pink) one for the lettering. If that's what you mean by different colors.

I did all the steps you explain, upon making it the borders didn't aligne properly ..do you aligne the 5x7 exactly 1x6 1x8 on the mat?

Hi I try using the blade that came with the cricut maker but it tore some letters in the foil :( do I need the specific foil blades?

Yesss.... You need a foil tool. I'm using the foil quill, it's not a blade it's more like a heating pen. The circut foil tool is used cold and only compatible with the circut foil sheets.

It takes about 5 to 15 minutes depending on how detailed the invitation would be.
