Your pattern choice & placement was mind blowing. The way the peaks aligned with, then disrupted the shape of the neighbour's roof behind the glass. When i focused on that i saw pure genius. Alchemical frankly: You turned that eyesore building into the suggestion of a mountain instead. It qualifies as art.

THIS is the tutorial I've been searching for. You have provided an excellent how-to for those of us that want to try this technique. In my case, I am going to have new interior doors installed but they open up onto our enclosed porch and thus they also act as exterior doors. Rather than pay over $3,000 per door for leaded glass doors with a linear design, I can now follow your example and create a more than acceptable design. Thanks very much for taking the time to record this for us all.

I learned about Gallery Glass just the other day and I'm super excited to add some old world character to a rather plain apartment. Thank you for the tutorial. I wasn't sure if I would have to remove my windows and work on a flat surface and I'm happy that I don't. I also love your pebbling effect. It looks absolutely perfect!

Hi Jen. I just wanted to say thanks for going to the effort to show people how to this despite the lateness of evening, the toddler, and the gloomy weather (you are a trooper). I too am involved in restoring a heritage house (in Sydney, Australia, rather than the US/Canada - sorry, I still struggle with differentiating the US/Canadian accent) and appreciate the work-arounds we sometimes have to resort to when we can't find/afford an original heritage replacement. Which is what is stumping me from restoring an old victorian door with odd dimensions here in Oz at the moment. It looks wonderful, and I am going to give it a crack. Congratulations. gen

This is such a wonderful, detailed and informative video... I had no idea how to get started, or make straight lines with the peel-off leading (you used a ruler!) and swirl the paint with your fingertip to look like real pebbled glass. Nice tutorial. Gallery Glass is great, I've used it for 20-25 years. I only use the clear now (like you did), but years ago when stained glass was so popular I had fun with the colors. Thanks for this, I like to watch others do crafts.

Very Helpful! We just bought a house and the previous owner had attached ugly faux stained glass over top/inside of the sidelights of our front door. I plan to use the lead lines and frosted to create a more classic look. Going to practice on some frame glass first!! Thanks!

thanks jen! - very cool! thanks to your tutorial, i'm replacing all 8 of our garage door windows with glass and creating 8 different frank lloyd wright type patterns. i'm putting the redi lead on the side facing out and painting the sides facing in so they will not be exposed to outdoor weather & moisture. wish i could post a photo here

I get Lexan cut (locally, at a plastics shop) to size and fit OVER an existing window in some of my projrcts, allowing for horizontal work. This allows for easy repair and maintenance.

Jen I know this is a very old post , but I have an old gallery glass design I am trying to remove. any ideas what i can use to get it off.???? Ive sprayed it with water but its brittle and water dosent seem to sufice.

I know this type of paint is prone to getting bubbles in it. Did you have any issues with tiny bubbles? The instructions say to take a needle and burst them before it dries. How you deal with them?

How much paint and leading did you use

Will this work on an acrylic sheet? I'll be doing it with teens and I'm concerned re safety. Our piece is not framed. It will be a loose piece 24 x 24

Wow, very impressive, the end result and the detailed video! Thanks for doing this! Any thoughts on how the second paint might look on an "Energy Efficient", i.e. tinted window? I was excited to try to create an antique look on our replacement windows for our replacement windows...(the guys @ This Old House call them disposable windows) but I was devastated to learn that clear glass windows are no longer sold in California! So now I'm left with tinted windows with no character at all! I'm hoping to do something!!!

I have also made (in photoshop , etc) window treaments that FedEx can print on window cling material - last at least 2 years, and helps insulte your windows! You can apply the cling directly (normal ) or frame-0stretch it , where the framing is measrued to "snap" into the window settings. Sonetimes small screws will be necessary in corners.

Hi, thanks for posting this. Would you say it would be better to do this process with the glass lying flat or vertical? I'm not sure if it would affect the wavy pattern you got with your fingertips. Sometimes gravity works in your favor. Just wondering if you have any suggestions on this. Thanks

Jen, I have a sliding door, that I want to do with a small section of pattern, but a large portion of just rippled wavy glass. It is a large area. If I rolled on the large area with a roller would it cover and make the ripple effect, or would I be just wasting lots of the paint. is there something other than just using my finger to get that ripply effect. I am not the worlds neatest painter, and have a small budget. My house is 140 years old and I want to make these doors a whole lot older and charming looking as well as a bit more private. I use black art tape from Cosco brand and any super thin washi tape from hobby lobby.

Jen, I want to do a similar window (2 actually) in our livingroom. Is the Gallery Glass lead lines that are sticky - are they permanent after awhile? And is the paint also permanent? What if I want to remove all of it in a few years? Thanks.

I saw the self adhesive leading and it seems like the adhesive is weak? It seems like it will not hold on to the glass.. can someone help me with this?
