Hello!! Welcome to my video. Since I’m posting this in February it’s black history month here in America so I thought I’d make something to honor that! 🤔 even though it’s always black history month for me lol 😂

OK where do I start. WOW it's all so cute! I like that its more realistic, based historically, rather than what we imagine a lab to be like, with unnecessary tubing, brightly colored potions, etc. If you need another idea for a famous African American scientist, may I suggest Kathrine Johnson? She did the calculations of orbital mechanics for NASA; they never would have made it to space without her! Back then computers were the size of a building and had half the power of an iPhone 2. She must have been amazing with a slide ruler! She just recently died at 101!

Love it as usual! Educational as well. I’m also a big fan of reusing cardboard boxes for miniatures. ❤️🐈

Beautiful build... ever thought about a diorama from jingle jangle? The lab scenes were magical... my art inspirations have been displaced due to broken hand bones...so. watching you... is ever so enjoyable...your work is so realistic...

U remembered the cigar boxes...that warms my heart. If I had someone to help me navigate using KZfaq.. I'd post what I wanted to do and let you have a crack at it. But if I find some close to my ideas. I'll send you the link...

Oh my goodness I just found your channel a couple of days ago and have been binge watching your channel. As I’m watching this video amazing btw, I hear you say how you love Home Depot and it’s your favorite place on earth!!! Wow everybody who knows me hears me say those exact words weekly hahaha. I absolutely love making dioramas, and collecting cardboard from packaging I have them stacked in order of thickness and cut into similar sized pieces LOL. I have my own mini depot instead of wood I have cardboard. You are a very talented Miniaturist!!! I am SO enjoying your creativity, and I’m learning so much. Keep up the great work!!!

I’ve always heard it called bassa wood like the fish I bet it’s just accent though like tomato and tomaato. The scientist lab and history is a really cool idea for miniatures! My cat loves “helping” me too with art😅

There's both balsa wood and bass wood, (i have obeche) and I've always heard the latter pronounced as bass not base. There a UK seller on etsy who supplies basswood and obeche for any UK people out there called bits n pieces by Julie if that's any use to anyone... ? My wildcat also loves to 'help' (my avatar). She's been inadvertently flocced, glittered, gained a blue distress paint leg once and most recently decided to quality check while I was staining dolls house window trim with Danish oil. She plonked a paw right on it before I could grab her (she was asleep and had emerged without me realising) which resulted in her paws being dunked in the sink and one very disgruntled cat 😕😨

One more quick questioning more quick question where did you ever find your very cool sketch pad?
@missminilife

Hi 👋🏾 I actually made it! There is a planner brand called Happy Planner and they have a cool ring system that lets you easily add and remove pages. I used the rings and the hole puncher they sell but then I made the cover and cut up sketchbook paper, instead of making a planner. The cover is from an old notebook I had that I’m pretty sure I got from the 99cent store, I just hole punched it and put it all together. 😁
