I did a German schmear on faux brick panels to hide the seams. I also changed up some of the decor because the gamer vibes are going in my sons room. In this tutorial I’ll walk you through step by step how I did the German schmear and the materials and tools used. Thanks for checking it out! ❤️✌️

This turned out so great!! It lol oks so authentic and would never guess it’s faux panels. LOVE your new lights!! Ironically I just watched this week’s episode of DIYWife and she used the same faux brick panels and joint compound for a kitchen backsplash (she painted hers white bc it’s the look her clients wanted)! So she figured out a really cool hack to avoid the seams (after putting these up in her husband’s recording studio): where the sheets meet, she cut every other one out (kinda like puzzle pieces) and did the opposite on the adjoining piece. Idk if I’m explaining it well, but if you ever want to put faux brick wall sheets up again, then check out this week’s video of theirs (Dean and Andrea). Sorry for the long comment.💜

I have seen it done that way! I actually talked with my husband about that as I was trying to fix this one. I want to do more faux brick in my laundry room. I think I’m going to try doing it that way next. Thank you for your comment! I appreciate your feedback ❤️

@@cowlitzriverrestoration612 Sorry, I just saw your reply. I just watched another DIY KZfaqr (Karrie Lynn) this week doing the same technique on her faux fireplace they built in their living room and she had the same yellowing issue. So she switched to Dap brand joint compound and it stayed white (I thought of you when she mentioned the yellowing). She did the same cuts with the brick (after watching Andrea and Dean lol) but did it slightly different when connecting them. Anyway, can’t wait to see you do your laundry room! I’m seriously considering doing this in my kitchen breakfast area. There’s this god awful wallpaper in it and have been trying to think of a way to “deal” with it, without removing it.💜
