Just a thought on the large gold pumpkin. If maybe you gave it a coating of mod podge if that would help. Then the paint would have a barrier. Hope it works. Loved your pumpkins. I think they are adorable.

Just a tip, coat any styrofoam in Elmer’s glue before spray painting. ☺️ tip credit goes to someone else. Found it under another diy video.

A primer or base coat of paint may be needed on the larger pumpkin if you don’t want the orange to show. Thanks for sharing.
