My guy you dont know how much this helps. Theres a canal next to property and I need a chill way to get water over the berm into the back of the property. Going to follow each step best I can here

iirc Archimedes screw is not the one fully submerged on water but only the end of that tube and must be raised or elevated at an angle. otherwise it will just be an auger

What this is--- auger --- not archimedes screw. The spiral baffles should be attached to the outside pipe also. Then the entire assembly would turn to form archimedes screw
