DIY High Pressure Oiler for Bridgeport or old Machines

3 жыл бұрынHere I show hot to make an inexpensive high pressure oiler for older machines. this is a very easy project that will give you very good results. Keep your old machines oiled up with this effective tool for your shop.
Make sure to turn the oiler upside down when pumping.

Just found your channel with this video. Have subscribed. What an absolutely awesome mod. I’ve got the pesky ball valve oilers on my lathe and mill and they seem to force more oil outside than inside. This video has me thinking about replacing those ball valve oilers with grease zerk fittings and making your oiler. Now the disc w/O-ring was simply to contain the oil? There would be a hole where the plunger exited the tube so the disc was just an oil dam? Yes?

Love tips like these. Just curious, could you have used just regular old grease in this case or is that improper lubrication for these ways?

They were not designed for grease. My machine had grease in it that I spent a bunch of time cleaning. I run a way oil in most of the machine.

Cool. Now make a manifold and mount up the grease gun so you can shoot a little oil into all the fittings simultaneously
