One more pulley would have made it much easier to use garden tractor. Put a pulley on the sled and tie the rope to the top of the elevator then another pulley on the top of the elevator and one one the bottom.

Necessity is the mother of invention, Im not sure my old body could take lifting 90 bundles of shingles up the ladder, Im sore right now as it is, but Sandra got her new roof. Thank goodness the Case is running well it was perfect for this. My painting season is over, its freezing at night now and in the 50's during the day, Im sure you have a few weekends left to get cracking on the Allis

I usually carry up six at time... Three on each arm, with a hangover.

roofinghoist.com has links to many videos of a roofing hoist that lifts over 500 lbs and weighs only 70 pounds. Over 350 built since hurricane Katrina. You only have to attach a hoist motor and the platform to you own ladder.

Seems a little ridiculous to use a tractor for the power. Seems like you could just pull it with manpower. At worst, you would just need to double-up the pullies. I mean, I can carry a bundle up a ladder on my shoulder, it would be a lot easier to use the ladder. Other than that, it's brilliant! However, it would have been nice to have a better shot of the build.
