I made a dish of vanilla. My Granddaughter came over and tried to eat it. I had glued a cheap spoon in the bottom. She laughed that I pranked her out. I took her to Culver's for being such a good sport and laughing at the prank. She is 10.

Bringing back Memories. My Daddy had a country store. We had dip ice cream in the store and even though I was maybe 11 to when I got married I dipped ice cream. One of our loyal customers was an older gentleman that always wanted a triple decker of strawberry. Pat in NC

These are quite cute! This is a lot like the stuff done in the Sweets Deco community.. making and decorating fake sweets. You can probably find nice, stable, cream styles from decoden videos. Especially if you're looking for cake frosting piping. I've seen lots of "deco cream" tutorials over the years. Some of the prettiest fake ice cream I saw was from soft Japanese clay.

I'm not sure if this would work but I'm going to shellac real ice cream cones and see how well they stay fresh like. Just a thought. I loved this tutorial. Thank you for sharing.

Oh how adorable! What a cute display. I've never heard of using corn starch and shampoo! Clever. If you wanted to make chocolate chip ice cream,what would you use for the chips? I'm loving this sweet treats series💐😊💝
@AlottaBoulchit4 жыл бұрын
If you want glossy chocolate chips you can cut up brown crayons with a knife. You can find them in different sizes too so you could use like a jumbo crayon for making chocolate chunks. If you want matte chocolate you could use polymer clay. Get chocolate colored polymer clay, flatten it out to the thickness you'd want, then bake the clay in your oven according to your clay's instructions. After it's dried you can chop it up with a knife for chunks/chips! 💖

Thanks for all your wonderful videos!! I have made this ice cream formula after watching your first video. My ice cream crumbled too. So I did a bunch of tests. I did one with corn starch and conditioner, it crumbled the worst. Over time, it just puffed into powder in my hand when I picked it up. I believe the moisture just evaporates. Then I did some with the joint compound added to the mix, still crumbled just not as bad and I did squeeze slightly to see if it would crumble and it did. When I added glue it wouldn’t hold a good ice cream form. It was smooth and started to flatten. It didn’t crumble but it didn’t look so good. I’m still testing as I love the texture and weight. Spakle is great, just not my favorite.

Oh, Daveda! Where did you get your "sprinkles?" (I think the hair product that you got previously was the VO5 conditioner) these are so so cute! Thank you for sharing! I think I'm going to try for a chocolate/vanilla twist!
@AlottaBoulchit4 жыл бұрын
You can make fake sprinkles with clay. You make thin "snakes" of colored clay and either let it dry (air dry clay) or bake it (polymer clay). Once the snake is stiff you can cut it into sizes with scissors. I'm sure there's other tutorials on fake sprinkles on KZfaq.

Hi Daveda, 💗 🌟 😊 it’s been so long since I’ve been crafting, I haven’t tried the conditioner 🍦 method, does it harden enough to keep re-using it for permanent displays?? 🙏 👧 💗 🤗 🎨🍦🍨 🍭 🍬

Makes sense that it would crumble because your just basically making a bar of soap if you think about it. I wounder how it would work just using white glue instead of shampoo?
@barbaraharrold53615 жыл бұрын
These are super cute:) I guess I’m off to the dollar store for cones, I hope they still have some:) did you use regular sprinkles on them? I really like how you show different ways of making these. I guess for Christmas I ask for gift cards to Home Depot so I can buy some Spackle:) lol

Daveda Lane In regards to the cornstarch and shampoo or conditioner mixture...How well do these dry? Are they long lasting?
@davedalane65053 жыл бұрын

Thank you for the response. I am used to working with lightweight spackle, but I'd hoped this could be a viable option. Have a beautiful day!

@@amyvittum7934 Ya I did the conditioner like 2 yrs ago after watching the original vid and 6 mo later, they fell apart, crumbled and dried out. I ended up getting a big bucket of spackle, bc I use it for other faux food and am going to use that form now on too. I was hopeful of the Shampoo, lol, but apparently its not much different at all =/

It sounds like your cream didn't leave the tip opening at the bottom of the bag and the bag burst a hole in the seam and the cream came out that hole? If that's the case your mixture was probably too thick when packed into your piping bag. When you applied pressure it burst a seam instead of going down. Try thinning the mixture it out if possible or maybe using less in the bag so there's less pressure build up. Another reason could be you bought a flimsy, cheap bag that had a weak seam. In that case your cream would have been fine.
