DIY : How to Replace Shift boot / Change Gear lever cover (Hyundai i10)

3 жыл бұрынIn this video, I am going to replace shift boot cover and gear knob of my 2012 Hyundai i10 using simple tools available at home. Also, you can see how to open center console and change shift knob in addition to shift boot/ gear lever cover.
The answer to how to change gear lever cover is very simple and almost the same for all Hyundai, Kia, Maruti Suzuki cars. A detailed step-by-step installation procedure is given in this video with written instructions, hope this one helps you. Cheers!

@@dineshkumarparasakthi5523 Got them from local market in a combined package so dont remember the exact price of my design... But They had a range of seat covers starting from 2000 to 6000 rupees (2 bucket seats and 1 bench seat) depending on colour and style you choose. I have the bill somewhere i will find it and then i will make a video about all the interior changes with pricing if you want 😊

In which online platform is this i10 gear cover assembly available? Will the quality be good if it is purchased online? What will be your suggestion?

I bought it from Amazon... i have mentioned the one i bought in description. You surely can buy it from amazon as you can return it if anything is not upto the mark. Also offline platforms i.e. shops and service centers have it on a bit costlier side where i live, might be different for your location. But yeah if you think this process was easy get one from amazon or flipkart and have a fun weekend DIY session working on your car 😉 (quality was good on amazon just that stitch on one side was loose but i got that repaired myself rest was good 👍🏻 still looks and feels good after 5 months) Hope this helps ♥️

@@KekkoLinkin oh no! I dont know about Italy friend... You have to search for 'shift boot or gear lever cover' on banggood or AliExpress types of site which ship internationally. And chances are that you will get the boot cloth without the frame which you have to remove from old boot and install on new one manually. My Suggestion to you would be to buy any generic shift boot cloth/ faux leather from any preferred ecommerce site... Cut the hight as per older boot... and then remove the plastic frame from older boot and staple it to the new generic boot... and you will have a new cover ready to install! Its very easy only sounds difficult dm me on Instagram @athus207 if you need any more help after you buy said things 😊
