I’ve worked on many tie dye shirts at this point and I can tell you from my personal experience, leaving it for 8-12 hours is equally, as effective as 24hours 👍🏼 you just want to rinse the shirt off good before applying tie dye, leave it damp for best results

hi ! sure I got my tie dye powder from my local hobby lobby however if you don't have a local hobby lobby you can find it in your local Walmart in the crafts section ! :)

I get mine from Joann Fabrics. Most craft or fabric stores should have it. You can also order it from several places online, and you might find an even better color selection. Most of the store dyes are going to be basic colors, what I call crayon box colors... and that's okay. They're popular. But if you want more specific shades like say, maroon to rep your college (Go Aggies!), you might think about checking out Dharma Trading Co. or Grateful Dyes, or any of a number of online sellers who specialize in dyeing supplies. *I'm not affiliated with any company...

yes ! so i’ve found that it actually depends on a few factors. 1. how tight is the swirl 2. how much dye are you pouring onto the shirt... if you sort of dab the dye onto the shirt you’ll get broken lines (actually one of my personal favorites) but if you want full lines that show less white pour a lot of dye to make sure it gets in between the twists.. hope that all made sense ! 😁

@@ArtsyPassion Thanks for response. I tried couple of times yesterday to change some factors and pooring a loot of dye onto the shirt did not really help. But maybe loosening the swirl might help, thanks for that!
