I bought this led kit with very little installation instructions, decided against the install...I ended up buying and LED replacement for the factory dim orange ones. Going to put those in soon. But if they don't work I might do this install! Thanks for the hard work and showing us the way!!! Keep up the great videos! You got a subscriber!

To everyone with the CIC system: I was having issues for 3 hours trying to figure out how to wire in the ambient module as instructions aren't too clear. The CIC system I got from Aliexpress came with an adapter for the Idrive controller + adapter for boot lid button - I just used the Idrive adapter only and it works perfect via radio controls. - main harness to ambient module - adapter between Idrive controller to ambient module No need for wiring into FRM/OBD for power etc. The thing that made me struggle was the one plug on the ambient module not making proper contact - reworked the plug and perfect - make sure to double check all pins and plug connections properly!

I have an f10 from 2011.. 525d.. no original ambient light.. i think that mine is CIC.. i really would love to have the ambient lights in my car.. this video will help me install it.. i just dont know where to put the cables of the powering.. yours is in the idrive with a module right? I install exactly the same ambient light on my F10 few weeks ago and I had an issue with the color changing ( not matching with the screen ) and it was from module, one of the connectors has a bent pin ( just to let anyone knows in case they have that problem ). I'm waiting to see that color changed from the idrive as you mention bro. Good luck !

Thank you Leo for your time to show us how to install the leds. Instructions were unclear and I was planning to take the car to a shop to get it fitted. I guess I will install it myself and spare some money. I have a question regarding the color selections. I have seen that the color name is given by a group of colors like White/Blue/Red. Whenever you select one of this color combo is it actually a single color or there are 3 colors fading to eachother and changing? Thank you!

Hi leo, i have an f10 2013. I followed your instructions on the bimmercode app but, after i did the whole coding only „classic mode“ popped up. Do you know why? I think that my car is an nbt because i had to select the dip switches to nbt radio switch controll to be able changing colour. Cic radio switch controll did not work so it has to be an nbt.

I did everything according to the video, I only mounted the passenger side because it was late and I had to go home, I turn the car on and the LEDs only work for 2/3 seconds and go off, then the idrive controller doesn't work either. solutions? Thank you
