Grey water (or greywater or gray water) is gently domestic used water or wastewater which can be reused for watering your plants and vegetables. Carrying a big heavy bucket full of water might be sometimes very dangerous. In this video I am going to show you how to easily install a spigot on a 5 gallon plastic bucket in just 3 minutes. We guaranteed that the spigot is leaking proof, and a long garden hose can directly guide the water to your bigger water barrel or small container which you can easily carry to water your plants and vegetables.

I was mostly wondering what I should use to seal the spigot but it looks like it seals pretty well without needing anything extra. Good to know, thanks for sharing!

Now you know you should not worry about it. The package includes 2 rubber O rings, which can help seal any potential leaking. You have to make sure the hole saw diameter matches the size of the spigot. So far, it works very well. Only one concern for me is that I put the bucket outdoors exposed to the sun. If you put the setting in the shade or indoors, it will last pretty long. 😍

This is great. Im temporarily without water til i get well pump repaired and bathing is a witch.. where we live in secluded area. I put up a shower curtain outside for privacy. I'm glad the warm weather is here that's for sure 😊

How do you know which size is the hole??

The box indicates the size of the hole, so you have to drill a hole with the exact diameter as indicated on the box for that spigot. Check my video, I pointed out using my finger. Good luck. 👍

Hi! Thanks for doing this. Can you tell me what end piece you used to attach the spigot? Is it a nut/ bolt? is it 7/8ths? Sorry, I'm very new to this. Could you also tell me if a 7/8 hose would fit on it or if it is a standard garden hose fitting?

Hi, thanks, good questions. But I think you are confused with 3 different concepts. 7/8 in is the hole saw size (the hole diameter you will drill on the bucket) you are going to use for the installation of spigot. The garden hose size can be any size such as 1/2, 5/8 or 3/4 inch, but standard garden hose thread (GHT) is universal threads it does not matter any size of garden hose. This spigot GHT is 3/4 in, the US standard garden hose threaded. Click the link down below for this product description on Amazon website, it give you some description about your questions.
