( tiny trick.. when sewing those really thick parts.. take the denim to a board and use a hammer and whack it down hard quite a few times.. seems to break the fibers, and allows the machine to go through much easier)

My first thought when you realized where the hole on one pair and stain in the other pair was to embroider like a flower over either. I do the regular 2 pant max skirts because I have a 33" inseam and can find jeans long enough, but rarely do I find maxi dresses or skirts as long as I like them. Since I try to make mine a bit Hipoie/Boho, I add colorful material "patches", embroidery, iron on patches in different shapes, and fabric paint to mine. It's a personal preference and know not everyone likes that, but for one hole or covering one or two stains there are many options.

Also make the ruffle tops for your shop!!!! INSPIRATION!!!! Keep up the good work.

Just a couple of tips from 50+ years experience. 1. Never pull your fabric through....you'll wreck your timing and more likely bend/break a needle. 2. I see on your foot you have the little black button on the left of it. If you life your presser foot and push that button in, it raises your presser foot and will help it get over thicker pieces of fabric. If any of your machines don't have that you can buy a little gadget called a "jeanamajig" or "hump jumper". You could also just try cutting away some of the bulk at that corner seam. I might just have to make this skirt again sometime soon.

Oh MY, yes! I'm a maxi Fanatic. I'm 5'11" & ANYTHING long & flowy that hits the floor is for ME. This summer I created a no-sew swimuit cover up set. Took 2 pairs of XL fishnet pants from Ross, to create the cover up long skirt. Cut the inseams open & glued front inseams together, then the back with my E6000 glue. Using the 2nd pair, I simply put my arm through each pant leg, like putting on a jacket, and pulled the elastic waist band over to cover the breast. It was BEAUTIFUL. Angelina this was such an awesome thrift flip! It been over a 100F degrees for a week now and it suck the energy out this old broad. Finally got a temporary cool down to 80s but it going to warm back up. I love the idea of the maxi skirts and have a few but realize that I have not worn them because most of the time I am on task (hands full/moving swiftly about) and they are a fall/trip risk for me. I realize this, so I did make an effort to wear a white windbreaker material maxi skirt I just thrifted, to handle some paperwork for my mom (hang out with her) at temporary facility she is at, just yesterday. It was so comfy! This was one great statement twist on a denim maxi skirt, and it really looks great on you. The results of the two different wash and angular front panel equaled 🔥. The maxi skirts are living their best life right now. I have thrifted some plain maxi straight line pencil skirts with kick split in back (plan to wear back to front sometime) because I have seen them on some of my favorite influencers and I like the looks they achieved. Watching your recent videos bring me such joy and put a smile on my face because I know just a wee bit of what you been through and yet you raise (testimony of God's goodness). I luv this maxi skirt! I use blue painter's tape on the parts that I do not plan to keep. In a complicated design layout like this, I wonder if you could use painter's tape and label the tape as you go?

8/28/23 My thought 💭🤔 on the little hole. Denim is about rips and holes anyway. So really ' the hole should have been a issue. Look for an old black direct drive Singer like a 15 or 201 and they go through almost anything. They don't zigzag but they are great for straight stitching with great stitch quality. I like many of your upcycling ideas but for a woman in her 60s they don't always fit my more conservative style but fun to see your ideas.

I have an idea for a denim skirt bib jumper but don't really know how to execute it....I want the bib on it but I want to lace it up somewhere in the front, either one of the sides or middle.... like I said I have the idea but don't know where to start ANGELINA HELP ?!!
