First, I think the shade of wood & the design of your cabinetry is really pretty!! They look quite solid & expensive & changing that hardware completely transformed them. So glad you didn't paint them plus, I can't imagine the amount of work it would have been to paint them and STILL you did an unbelievable amount of work transforming them with the matte black pulls & handles - that was a LOT of handles to install especially considering that you weren't simply replacing but having to drill ALL of those new holes!! Well done! I learned a new tip from you as well with that patching product that doesn't require sanding afterwards! Yay! All in all it was a beautiful outcome! It was an enjoyable transformation to watch as you have such a soothing voice and appeared to be so patient with the process. Especially dealing with that fast drying grout, the tile cut you had to fix AND then having to have to take down the one floating shelves you had just installed in order to complete the finishing tile process. Lol! For me I would have been cursing up a storm to have to do that! I love how the greenery looks with the wood & matte black - I think more greenery on top of your kitchen cabinets would look great as well! jmho. If you end up with another tile cutting mistake in the future, and you really don’t want to go back and fix it, you can cover it with an oversize switch plate cover. 😉

The kitchen came out amazing!!! Awesome job! It looks beautiful! Yes, you are right. It is tons of work. You did fantastic. Do be proud of yourself. FYI. I don't know if the cabinets are real wood, but either way, if you wanted to or still want to, you can just clean off all the grease, lightly sand it and use chalk paint. I understand that chalk paint sticks to anything (especially the real thing which is Annie Sloan's chalk paint). However, if you use chalk paint, you need to seal it. Super important because the paint itself activates again with water. Most people use wax as a sealer. I probably would use matte varnish (i don't know if you have to buy a special chalk paint varnish or any varnish would do.) Lastly, you probably know this by now, but anytime things dry up fast, like the grout on those tiles, the trick is to work in small sections, i.e., instead of grouting everything all at once, grout small sections or, in your case, one wall at a time, then clean off the grout before moving to the next wall. I have learned this the hard way myself. Ha, ha.

I think your kitchen is gorgeous! Even though brown cabinets are net in trend right now, they are, in my mind, timeless. And i can see that your cabinets are made of solid wood and seems like they were custom made. I actually have brown cabinets myself and I DIYed kitchen backsplash using subway ceramic tile with white grout. I am thinking of replacing hardware to matte black too.

Really nice Job, really upgraded your kitchen. There is a really gorgeous vinyl granite contact paper, on Amazon, that has the deep golds with brown and black flecks in it. It would add more warmth, and make the tile, and cabinets pop, a much better accent, than what you have. The counter top make it go flat, just doesn't do anything for the design. It will also make the cabinets look more high end.

Some beautiful large black, cream, and brown pottery would be beautiful on top of your cabinets and further tie in your color scheme. You could easily use inexpensive painted faux pottery shapes such as glass or plastic and no one would know the difference.
