The Ultimate DIY - Tiling My Own Kitchen Backsplash! As part of my DIY Renovation Series, I have completely transformed our kitchen. Part of that process was tiling the backsplash with a beautiful white subway tile. This was the first time I had EVER tiled anything, and I am thrilled with how it turned out. I hope this video encourages you to give this a try in your own home!

Thank you so much!! I watched a few KZfaq videos prior to starting this backsplash, yes. My favorite is Jeff from Home Renovision, he has the best walk throughs and really gave me the confidence to do this myself. I went right over the paint on my walls, but I did give them a wipe down just to remove any dirt prior to putting the adhesive on. Best of luck with your backsplash, be brave and give it a try, it’s very rewarding when it’s all finished 😊

Hi Johny! I mixed the grout which comes in a powder with the amount of water suggested on the bag and that is what was used between the tiles. The caulking was used just between the bottom row of tiles and the counter top to seal it. I hope that helps!

@kelly_mcgrath
@kelly_mcgrath 11 ай бұрын
It’s a number 3 written in my grandmothers handwriting haha, definitely not a saggy butt. I pre-drilled the holes for the range and hung it up before tiling to confirm the location, then tiled and rehung with longer screws after the tile was completed. That way the tile was seamless all the way up the wall
