Hi, great video. I am building a pond and wondering how did you get the liner to attach at the top of the walls? thanks shawn
@arldigitalart29425 жыл бұрын
31ft by 10ft?!?!? I’ve been worried about reinforcing my near future build because I though 6.5 ft by 16.5 ft was going to be too much for a double skin wall... amazing size, mate. Will look for updates on your pond and koi.

sats63 first of all thanks for watching and yes I’ve added shade sail to the pond kzfaq.info/get/bejne/orV8mryFq6i9f3U.html so far it seems it’s cleared 80% of green water, in summer il know for sure whether this works or not.

I am using airlift to my filtration system bro it is safe and less electricity consumption plus won't clog
@worldoffish45736 жыл бұрын
+Giobel Koi Center totally agree with you Bro that’s why I did my research then built the airlift 👊
@taitienernern68676 жыл бұрын
ya, airlift is good for smaller volume aquarium, for this volume of water, one airlift is not sufficient thats why your water still remain in green color, btw the pond build very well ! but the filter system need further improvement
@worldoffish45736 жыл бұрын
Giobel Koi Center I’ve got two 110mm pipes pushing the water back into the pond sorry didn’t show that on the video....and yes your absolutely right on working on the filtration...regarding the green water I believe is due to the sun through out the entire day as there is no shade what so ever on it, hopefully soon I will change that...thinking about adding shade sail and covering 3/4 of the pond....thanks for stopping by my friend
@giobelkoicenter6 жыл бұрын
I think airlift serves dual purpose aearation and filtration at the same time and also fish and you are safe from electric shock that submersible pump will possibly inflect if the pump is worn out it will ground in the water

so I am confused, you skipped all of the construction details how you put it all together. are the coping tiles just sitting on top? or did you connect them somehow? and why is your water green? is the filter working?

Air lift just doesn't cut it in large applications , the flow and the efficiency of the filtration is nowhere near enough for a pond like that! Great job building it , it looks amazing , I am just not a believer on air lifts for huge ponds .....
@juneroney3305 жыл бұрын
What liner did you use. Iv used 2 Tetra liners and my pond is still losing water. It’s not my filtration system. I see water leaking from the bottom of my raised pond. Frustrating

I really want to build a koi pond so am wondering what problems you think there'd be with this pond and how to avoid them? Thanks
@Synysterjmz4 жыл бұрын
@@hopeaquatics - filtration (turn over rate wont be higher enough) - liner creases will cause water quality issues from trapped dirt (ammonia and phosphorus spikes, high anaerobic bacteria in stagnant parts etc) - lack of water flow - aeration - lack of shade for fish I'm curious on the structural integrity of the pond?
@bradmorri1890Ай бұрын
Just seeing this comment. If you took this same built but changed the filtration system completely do you think you would have more success because this is exactly what I’m trying to do
