Doing it in his clean jeans. Barely a drop spilled on the white patio of his beautifully located house. No leftovers no spillage. Sign of a craftsman. Hardly a scrap on his hands, When I do it will look like explosion in cement works.

Very relaxing to watch ! This is like the way of making large church bells. Its stronger than a terracotta clay version too. Some things came to mind... 1 You could spray sand with a fine mist of watered down PVA , or even sugar solution and let it dry. This would give the sand a firm skin. 2 You could put integral waterproofing liquid into the mixing water... to make the cement like what they use for swimming pools. This would make the concrete hold water and keep it dry inside, The cement would be more resistant then to frosty weather. 3 At that stage you could add cement colouring powder too. Perhaps to make one look like a fired terracotta clay version .Result not needing decorating painting at all. 4. Be careful with your bonsai trees. Mind the cement is very alkaline and this pH might upset their growth. 5 After painting , pour clear epoxy resin over the work. This would seal the concrete , preventing "salt blooming" and making it safe for all plant types , and give a durable vitreous glazed appearance, So we just need a white background and some blue dragons flying over a water garden ! LIke blue willow pattern china...with the birds of love and the boat... 6 Can you show me how to do a large Ming vase and a Terracotta Warrior in concrete next please ? ! Thanks again for a nice video . Graham B'Ham U.K.

I am doing a French drain around the foundation of my house. When finished it will be covered in tumbled rock. I was planning to buy planters of some kind to go on top of the rock to keep the dirt out of the rock. This fits the bill perfectly! I may give this a try. Great video!👍

Very well done. The spinning chair is genius. For the metal frame: probably a little more money, but very accessible to those who don’t weld, look for aluminum erector materials called 80/20. Screw together and make infinite shapes and sizes.

@Suzyqs Mesh is not a good choice for such a project. Rings plus fibers is the way to go. One more thing - you can also mix perlite instead of sand in the mixture. It looks like a limestone antique pot if the surface is not smoothed and if it is painted white. This makes it extremely lightweight.

@@evgenitantikov5865 He only used sand for the form didn't he? I thought the concrete and mortar were pre-mixed.

Yes I agree most use it way to wet, the only wet coats should be the 1st coat on the sand and the last coat for a finish I add some super fine sand. The core should be normal like render you'd put on a wall with aggregate up to 3~6mm(1/8~1/4")and large pots need to be a lot thicker than small pots
