Most of us can relate to having a ‘problem’ room in the house… you know the one. The room that makes you feel so overwhelmed that you decide it’s easier to just ignore it... until one day you realise it has gone completely out of control!! The ‘problem’ room in our home was our laundry. An outhouse addition to an old home that had acquired a few bizarre embellishments over the years, meant that this room was a bag of allsorts… and not the good kind. We definitely had our work cut out for us with this one and the problem room did not give up without a fight! But we conquered in the end and transformed our stress inducing problem child into a calm and luxurious laundry. Good looking enough to actually make us excited about doing the washing, which is a turn up for the books we can assure you...

The gaps in the wall under the window are making me nervous because I've watched wasp nest removals from homes and they always build nests in spaces like that, but holy shit what a difference! Looking stunning!!!!

Binge watching the Reno videos and can’t help but notice the outfits for each segment don’t change for trips to bunnings or lights lights lights. I love it. All the Reno’s getting done in one trip through many many videos!!

Try to invert the opening side of the dryer! It will be much better when moving from one machine to another!If you have doubts on how to do it consult the manual of your dryer! There's always how to do it... AND you can wifi connect your washer and dryer! That means you can start your laundry by your phone!

For future reference, start hammering at the edges of the concrete instead of center mass. Depending on use, I would be tempted to have the washer and dryer away from the door, because it is a pathway. Instead of doing a 'cabinet wall,' I would have installed a closet. It would be less expensive and easier to customize. You could then utilize the entire wall for storage then... Overall, I rethink I prefer the before. [Okay, that was a really bad joke...😊]

😭 least you have a laundry room. Mines in the hot (summer)/cold (winter) garage. You even have a sink mine doesn't even have one. And my washer is on one side of the garage and the dryer on the other side. Guess I get my exercise in 😂

Absolutely love your laundry room. It looks so lovely and calm with that beautiful artwork on the back wall. Love the pale grey of the wall panelling and the contrast with the black barn door. Only thing I'm not sure anout is the ply flooring. It looks kind of unfinished to me and I would worry that if you have a leak from the washing machine it might warp/stain? Think it would look awesome with some black white and grey geometric style vinyl stick on tiles.

It’s working well how we have it at the moment. But I’m sure you could find opposite directions options if you needed.

Love everything except the plywood flooring. It looks untreated, and will be a stain magnet. If stain and lacquer it at least. Otherwise, amazing transformation!
