I had this the issue with some dining chairs I bought from target that were too light. I took some walnut gel stain from min wax and just did the wipe on method in very thin layers. It will darken it a couple of shades but still show the wood grain. No sanding needed.

🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 Use a white and gold round vase for the coffee table and put up a round mirror to balance the space and match the roundness of the table. You can put the mirror somewhere in the entry way.

Hi Megan! It's truly amazing how far your living room has come over the years! It looks so pretty & serene! Another idea for your bench style sofa would be a thin lumbar style pillow. It would still be simple & low profile. I Love that you updated your artwork yourself & that it gave those large pieces a bit of contrast & some difference from one another. What a great diy! u could even turn the middle one upside down for another look in the future! It all looks great & you should be so proud of yourself for what you have accomplished in not just the LR but the entire house!

Wow, honestly impressed with everything and I tend to be picky!! One small recommendation would be to get a much larger plain light colored rug to put under the one you have for a layered look with more coverage as the current rug is a tad too small for the space. Well done!

Try Varathan wood stain or Briwax on your chairs to darken the wood on your chairs. I would cover the fabric with plastic to ensure the stain doesn't get on it. I would also use a small sponge or glove to apply the stain in more detail. I hope these ideas work. Your home is beautiful 😍.

A stain pate should work to darken the wood on the chairs. You can ask for a sample card to hold up to your stools to be sure the color is close enough to your liking. Of course you would need to use plastic wrap and tape to scrunch around every bit of the fabric you can and pul the fabric back as far as it can and tape it so most of the wood can be stained. You have such a lovely home. Great job.

Dang girl...this is definitely Pinterest worthy! Love the end result and that rug is perfect! What a deal and really gives the room a finished look. The added minimal decor added an appeal of warmth and not overdecorated. I struggle with that as I find so many pieces I think will look good in a space. I need to create a decor closet as you have to control that. I also love the white walls. I've always migrated to a soft earth tone colors thinking white may look too sterile or look like a rental haha but I am rethinking that philosophy. Sitting in a rental at this time since selling our home last month and looking for that "forever" home with some land to locate closer to kids and grand babies. Although we haven't found "the one" yet...as I get anxious...I'm certainly gathering ideas and decorating my potential home in my head...haha. Love your ability to "refresh" a space without breaking the bank. Have a super weekend!

Thank you! I’ve been trying to grow my hair out after an old hair dresser damaged it pretty badly. 😭 I haven’t had it bleached in about 2 years. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to cut out all of the remaining bleached portions
