I finished making this mobile pouch. I used 3.3 mm thread and yet the length of chords provided were sufficient. Also for people who didn't get the stitching part, I would like to inform that, for attaching sling one has to stitch 2 pairs of threads twice. Meaning once have to stitch 2 threads and then have to stitch other 2 threads. Means this stitching if whole pouch has to be done 4 times. Well mobile pouch turned out to be really awesome. Beautiful pattern and perfect explanation. Keep up the good work.

@@ginagray8442 I added 10” to my strings at the size listed in the video. I cut off 8” so to make the entire bag using her cord length, I used 2additional inches. If that helps you? I would say those 2” I needed extra was the difference in how tight I made my knots. Otherwise the sizes she listed were accurate for me.. but glad I added a bit more or my ending fringe would have been shorter. Hope that helps you. It’s been awhile since I made this bag.. it turned out absolutely beautiful and I love it! But don’t remember the lengths that were listed. I would say they were accurate but suggest you add a bit more just to make sure. It’s a lot of knots to make and have it come out wrong for you. But do use tight knots just for the fact there is no lining in this bag so the tighter knots helps from things dropping out of the holes between knots… I posted my finished bag and got a lot of compliments on it! I use single string as my preferred cords, but that’s up to you. Best wishes!

Hola, use las medidas que dices, cuerdas de 350 cm de 3mm. Pero quede corta, creo que deberían ser cuerdas de 400 cm. Tendré que cambiar el diseño para no perder el trabajo.

Подскажите пожалуйста на сколько сильно вы утягиваете узелки? А то у меня сумка пока что шириной всего 9 см. Думаю и дальше эта лента такая и будет. Я сильно затягиваю? Или это от того что у меня обычный шнур 3 мм и поэтому она уже по размеру?может стоит распустить и завязывать слабее?

I have been working on this, and I’m having a tough time with the strap. I might have to do a different design as the switch knots are just not working for me. Did anyone else do an alternate strap?

Oi, vou tentar ajudá-la, baseando pela altura da bolsinha finalizada, ela deixa o suficiente para fazer as costuras laterais, ou seja , a altura e mais uns centímetros para que seja suficiente e não faltar após costurado, creio que mais uns 5 a 8 cm

Thank you for the tutorial ❤️. The length of the cords wasn’t enough for me, have no idea why (I need at least +50cm for my bag could be the same (and about +30cm for belt). But I like the result anyway so it doesn’t matter 😁

I agree. Great tutorial and cute finished bag. However I also needed this extra amount for both. Only commenting to save anyone else from having to do cord tie ins. ;) Still love my bag .

@@FamilyNLifeLV oh no, I already cut my cords just 15cm longer than called for. It looked like so much was cut off at the end I didn’t want to waste any as I chose to use one of my expensive cord types.. I pray I have enough as I would have cost myself a lot of money on a cord that is no longer stocked 😱. I always read the comments first for this reason, but figured with so much cut off at the end, I was safe.. oh I will be bummed if I’m short. This is my first bag and felt confident to just add a tad extra this time 🫣

I had forgotten I wrote that post. My bag turned out perfect with extra cord to cut off at the end. Thus, the stated cord length, plus 15 cm worked fine for me. I was using this bag recently and someone saw it and asked for 2 bags of differing color, I’m making them now! 🤗 will be interesting to see how my knots compare to the last time I made this bag!

I realize this was posted in 2021 but I have a question. I have a lot of old cord and need to use it. I don't have 3mm so could I use 4mm round braid? It's a beautiful orchid color and I think it would make a beautiful sling phone bag. Thank you. I love this video.

Complementando meu comentário , são 3metros de fio para alça , você divide ao meio e deixa quanto para costurar, então deixa quanto de fio para iniciar a alça?

Entendi q a alça tem 110cm, então vc prende pelo meio os fios de 3m, faz 55cm de nós invertidos de um lado, depois do outro, o q sobrar é usado para costurar a bolsa. Vou tentar assim agora.
