Soooo since so many of you loved the vanity mirror I made, I decided to show you how I did the marble flooring too! This is totally 100% apartment safe, so have fun following along & turning your apartment into a palace!

And this smart ass girl figured out a way to have marble flooring without actually having marble floor. I feel sorry for everyone hating on this lady. I read so many comments of people saying they have the "real marble" and that this video is "tacky". first question, if you have a "real marble" already, why do you need to watch a DIY marble floor video? that's like a mother of two children watching a 'how to give birth' video. second question, do you think everyone has it all? do you think everyone can afford a marble flooring? do you think that because YOU have something, everyone should have same? or do you think it's a crime to want to look good? and lastly, this is like a quick fix for a rented apartment with a flooring you dislike. I agree it might get damaged because of what she used underneath but it's the idea that matters. if you don't like what she used, try and use what you want. and instead of coming here to rant about your "marble flooring" done by "professionals", try to contribute to the video so other people can learn. well... all that being said, I love her and her personality. I subscribed after watching her DIY wall vanity because I love it. keep doing what you're doing baby doll.😘😘😘😘

For a larger area I would suggest rosin paper for the base instead of poster board. It's a felt paper used under wooden floors. It's only 3¢ a sqft as opposed to 30¢ a sqft for poster board.

Professionals measure the room to find the exact middle to lay the first tile. If you were doing it professionally then you'd be right, but this is just a quick & cheap DIY in a small hallway so it doesn't matter lol

That's so weird because in Germany you can most of the time. You can also put nails in the walls and paint them. Sometimes you can even build another wall to make 2 smaller rooms out of one. 😊

Companies make this stuff all the time, but get better and better each time with quality. So while you waste all your money trying to be a kim kardashian copy, her money will be well spent in a smart investment. Did this in my bathroom and it brightened up the whole room! (Small full bath) but with some darker wood like everywhere, this helped so much to brighten it up and it just adds that touch we didn’t have before. Wish I could show you a picture amber you’d be so proud!! (Btw I did not lay them down or do the cutting my dad did) but it still looks amazing!!

Mai Melanonimous No, fake marble like this is cheap to install, but good luck making it last. It will start to look warped, especially if you're walking on it in high heels. You're better off spending the money for the real thing to begin with -- or else you'll pay close to it just by keeping up with the knock-off marble over the years. Still a cool DIY, but I don't see it lasting long.

I feel like this is the cheap stuff buildings use to pull off real flooring and rent out the apartment over priced... ha. It's a cute idea though, when you're looking for a temporary change or something.

Christie Ahh like 90% of modern homes have vinyl flooring. It's pretty uncommon now a days to actually use real wood or tile flooring anywhere. It looks just as nice and doesn't face the extremes of weather and it's so so much cheaper than getting actual flooring. A slab of marble can easily cost thousands of dollars and she changed her floor quick and easy for $30.

Ayah H I don't think this will work on carpet because carpet is squishy and moved when you take steps. It will work on wood because the ground is hard.

It might be more durable if you got something like MDF or plywood instead of poster board, and you could put anti slip rug mats under it to keep it from scratching the floor.

Also, I just finished a crazy night shift at the hospital and I'm exhausted and worn out, and your personality on this video made me smile. Which is exactly what I needed right now. lol idk why people are saying its tacky obviously because she rents she cant put it directly on her floors but for those of you who have homes you would just not use the poster board and duck tape duh. And like she said she is using it for pics so thats why she didn't do her whole floor smh people just love to hate. I think its cute and i would definitely do this when i get my own place
