hi I'm putting an Audi v6 diesel engine in my boat it should output about 210hp I'm wondering how to find the correct heat exchanger for the job also wondering how your controlling the throttle using a pedal or a lever?

Good to hear your putting a nice diesel engine in your boat! My trottle is connected with the original volvo penta lever. The heat exchanger is a bowman fg100. Originally it was used as a hydraulic oil cooler in a hydraulic system. It is working fine. I did not do any calculations.

1.Are you happy with that watercooled intercooler? Is it efficient? 2.What kind of rev counter are you using, gauge and pick up? Please let me know, thanks

The intercooler works really well. Its from amazon (China made i think) RPM gauge is a "diesel rpm gauge" also from amazon. The pick up is form the alternator, Its calibrated it with a industrial rev counter (there is a adjust screw in the back of the gauge). Works really well to.

It works nicely, there is a reverse gear which the gearbox is used for ?

The engine is attached to the volvo penta sterndrive. The reverse gear is in this drive.

@@pieniogalon5449 its a aq280 drive. With a 1:1.61 gear ratio (v8 ratio)
