Learn how to make a miniature sofa using... kitchen sponges!
You read that right! All you need to make this project is a pack of kitchen sponges, some fabric, cardboard from old boxes and a little bit of glue.
Here's a step-by-step on how to make this (click on each timestamp to see the relative step!):
0:00 - Cover the sponges with fabric to make the couch's cushions and back pillows
1:08 - Draw a template to create a Chesterfield-like pattern
1:59 - Start making the base of the couch with cardboard
2:28 - Cover the cardboard with fabric
2:50 - Use craft sticks to create the couch's legs
3:36 - Create the back of the sofa with cardboard, craft sticks and fabric
4:23 - Assemble the front and back of the couch
4:33 - Make the armrests with cardboard, fabric and paper
5:34 - Glue the armrests to the couch
5:55 - Add the cushions and back pillows and you're done!
I made this couch for my Barbie dolls, but it can easily be adapted for regular dollhouses.
