DIY Miniature Parol

In this video I create traditional Filipino Christmas lanterns we call parol in miniature scale. I love this symbol because it not only stands for the Star of Bethlehem but also for hope and resiliency...for although its most popular shape is that of a five-point star, a parol can come in various forms and may be constructed from any material that any creative and hopeful Pinoy can put his hands on...and wherever it is hung, may that be far out in the world-that particular window is instantly warmed by the memory of home.
