According to your itemized list, brake repairs cost the most. Do you stay within a small geographic area or drive all over Deutschland & Europe? Having an older vehicle with lots of mileage could result in additional, expensive repairs. I paid $2K to have back brakes rebuilt on a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country van with 125K miles on the odometer. Midas did the repairs & replaced the master cylinder, rotors & brake pads.

I think, in Germany one could get the owner’s address through the license plate. So I just put some tape on there to prevent any of that from happening.
