I know! I've always remembered when my brother played it on PS4 and on the Wii and I finally got the chance to play it on the switch last year for Christmas. Although I never managed to beat it, it was still so much fun

So beautiful! I’ve beaten the game 3 times because I love it so much! It’s honestly one of my favorite games of all time. The story is perfect, the mechanics are perfect, the art style is perfect, and just everything is perfect. I really think that Okami is underrated and it’s sad that not many people know that it even exists. I wish that they would remake/remaster it so it can draw in more people, look new, and older fans can enjoy it too! I can’t express how much I love the game, but I’m sure you get the idea. I wish Capcom would make more merchandise for the franchise, because we don’t have much. I’ve been hoping that they do *something* new with the franchise, because it seems like they’ve almost abandoned it. Luckily, they made some Okami themed items for some kind of cafe. I don’t remember where, but that’s all I know (PS, the way you made Divine Retribution looks stunning!)

Amaterasu and Shiranui are definitely my favorite characters I really like Issun too. Tachigami, Yumigami, Nuregami, Kabegami, and Gekigami are my favorite Brush Gods :3

@@KaypeaCreations oh before i forget if people domt want to use polymer clay like you said tell them avout the form clay its air dry and really light it dry like foam amd its really soft when working on it. The only downfall on it is that it dont blend to one piece. You'll get spots of where you added different peice on the head. Other than that its amazing.

THIS IS AMAZING!! Okami was my comfort game growing up. When I was sick, but had slept too long to sleep anymore, I would boot up my wii and play, and *every time* I got fixed the land and restored a tree, I would start crying because the game was always emotionally moving. You've done my childhood so much justice! Always love our Ami!! Maybe you should consider making an Issun to join her~?

definitely an actually accurate version of her! her design is really offensive to southeast asian people. i'd suggest looking at designs by southeast asian artists for inspiration

@@geminfly that's why it's offensive actually, her design puts aside all traits that are unique to her basis leaving her as a furry worm thing. it completely ignores what makes the basis of this movie special. it's just watering down thousands of years of important culture for a little extra cash. that's what makes it offensive.

Aaahhh she's beautiful!! I literally just played Okami for the first time, I started it last month and finished a few days ago. I super love the game and Amaterasu, you captured her beautifully!!! I especially love her head and shield.

I loved it too! I get why she called it a shield though since when the reflector is a sub weapon, it acts like a shield so you can block and counterattack. I mainly use the rosary (beeds) weapon as my sub weapon and the reflectors or Glaive (swords) as my main weapon!

@@lunathecat7725 I use that weapon combo too! I love blasting an enemy with rosary beads, then coming in close with a reflector or glaive.

@@emilycookie1499 I'm the opposite, I love the quick whips I can do and the satisfying way the enemy gets temporarily stunned while I'm performing the upgrades attacks. Mirrors are super handy for quickly blocking attacks because for some reason I can never master dodging in time or in the right direction.

I always have to refrain from screeching in excitement whenever I come across someone else who also is a fan of this game (I've learned from experience that it kinda freaks people out, heheh oops). Okami is a nostalgic part of my childhood that makes me so happy and emotional. The art style is so unique and the score is just beautiful. Fangirl rambling aside, your interpretation of Amaterasu is amazing. Kudos to you for trying something new with this piece as well! Sara should have some more cameos for helping out!

Keeping in the spirit of Okami, I would love to see you make Oki in his wolf form! It would be amazing and I'm sure it's a good idea! Edit: Even though I'm still starting out, I've been doing art and drawing as a hobby and I definitely agree, I use references as well to step up my art to another level Edit (again): Kaypea, im curious but how did you do the black tip for Amaterasu's tail?

Okami came out when I was 8, but I didn't know about it til I was in high school! What a cute rendition. I think the needlefelting looks really really great! It's very cool to know you can felt right onto faux fur. I was stressed but impressed that you didn't use leather finger covers while working with the needle lol :~)

Oh my god, this is a DELIGHT to see in my recommendations She's absolutely perfect! I don't blame you for not wanting to model paws- I made a polymer clay model of Amaterasu, and when I was moving stuff on some shelves, I knocked her...those paws were not very sturdy. 3D Printing definitely better for tiny details like paws and beans! Amaterasu is a difficult character because of all the white, but I think you've nailed it. Good on using a needle felting for her fluffy wings! Also, I made an audible delighted noise when I saw the cat- little dancing paws so cute...

OOOGH my childhood.... this game is so good i am in Love with the art direction & overall style the team went with!! your doll came out super good, ive done a lil bit of needlefelting and honestly i think you did a great job for a first time! the head looks really good & i love the way you did the mirror and fire on her back! you actually inspired me to try out some sculpting which i have barely done before so i was makin a lil guy as i watched the video ::-)
