Thank you for the walk around. I am building a trailer as well. You have a nice build! You have somethings like the tie downs I would of missed myself.

Thanks so much it was a challenging but fun build at the start of the china flu in 2020.

Well done on this trailer! I have been thinking of adding a trailer for my RTT. This is awesome!

Thank you very much!

Super smart, I dig this way better than those $35k rigs. In the future, if you found the need, you could even get a Timberin kits for independent rear suspension for like$700. Nice job B-)

Thanks so much. I sold this trailer in April and just recently purchased another trailer to build another 👏🏼

Thank you very much. I’m about to start a second trailer build. I sold this one in April. I will be documenting the build in a little bit more detail the second time around.

I’m just curious do you still have the measurements you used for the axle? I have a 4x6 I’m planning to tow behind my jk as well.
@Tail_Dragger Жыл бұрын
I don’t. I bought the axle from Compact Camping Concepts and they had me measure point to point and they made it from that dimension. I just don’t remember what the “points” were. Give them a call they are very helpful and made it so easy.

how long is the tongue on the trailer from the front rail? hows it pull going down the road? i just started building ours and curious thanks for the great videos and website of info
@Tail_Dragger Жыл бұрын
I replaced the original tongue with a much longer one because of the wobble and fishtailing at speed. It’s about 7.5’ from the front rail of the trailer to the end. After I did that it pulls perfectly.
@adamharmon5976 Жыл бұрын
@@Tail_Dragger I figured it needed to be 3-4 fr longer was just curious thx for the reply.

If you did it again, would you just get a longer trailer as opposed to extending the tongue to add extra cargo space?
@Tail_Dragger Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. It was an easy mod and worked out well for us. I’ve since sold the trailer and currently have a 5x8 trailer waiting to be built out.

What kind of rims did you get to mount on the trailer and is it a 5 lug by 4.5
@Tail_Dragger Жыл бұрын
When I had Compact Camping Concepts build my axle they used 5x5 wheel pattern to match my JK Rubicon Wheels

Would you consider assembling tongue battery boxes for sale?
@Tail_Dragger2 жыл бұрын
I actually have thought about it yes. It was probably the most fun I had during the trailer build.

Do you have a diagram of wiring you did for entire build?
@Tail_Dragger Жыл бұрын
I don’t, sorry. My webpage has a list of all the products I used. It was very simple wiring of each component.
