As an esthetician- tweeze your brow hairs in the direction that the grow. It’s less painful and you will have less ingrowns and broken off hairs.

Adding onto this! Plucking the hair in the opposite direction also causes the hair to grow straight out of the face/wonky! Glad we can bring small bits of education to one another through a body empowerment creator 🥰

I will continue eyebrow threading for the rest of my life. Once I found an amazing person, who did not cause any pain, she made it her priority not to and was pricier. I always spent $25 dollars on her and eventually she left the salon and couldn’t find her info, so sad. Luckily I found someone new, that barely hurts and only charges $12 and from the comfort of her home! She has a whole beautiful set up. You don’t have to tolerate someone who disregards your pain to finish quickly, I sure as heck don’t.

Look up different methods to even out hyperpigmentation! You can find a skin care product that works for your skin type. Oh and don’t forget to wear sunscreen! That helped me out a lot more than I expected lol
@hra2290
@hra2290 Жыл бұрын
Agency skincare has a discoloration formula they sell for hyperpigmentation, it has hydroquinone in it and it’s actually a prescription. You “virtually” check in with their PA or NP and they send you the script. It’s very effective, it has other ingredients too that help with hyperpigmentation. Only apply it to the dark areas so they lighten up to match the rest of your skin color.

Lab muffin has a blogpost about alternatives to hydroquinone. She basically lists almost all actives that are used against pigmentation with pros and cons. Also use spf, if possible with high UVA and blue light protection, since dark skin tends to be sensitive towards blue light unlike lighter skintones.

I did a spot treatment with a q tip on my chin for 10-15min every other day until the hair fell off. Haven't had hair since and that was almost 4yrs ago. I also used aloe gel directly afterwards and this grease in a green can to moisture my skin after every time. Before anyone asks, I can't do my eyebrows so I don't trust me to try that on my eyebrows! 😂
