Yes that would work - anything stretchy would work

Thankyou for the video it's great, could you please advise, if I used jersey fabric, which is the best to use ie viscose jersey? Also could it be made in a woven drapery fabric? I have such trouble choosing the correct fabric for a pattern, plisse altho lovely, isn't me I don't think. Keep up the good work girls x

You could do this in any stretch fabric, jersey viscose would be drapey. Scuba is another option, it can be drapey but go for a lightweight one. Drapey woven fabric is possible but you would need to put a zip in it Check out our Fabric Series from last year to help you with your fabric choices

Any reason this could not be done in a serger?

Nope ! Just make sure to tie off your tails if your leaving a raw edge. We only used a sewing machine to make it more inclusive to everyone.
