I don't know if you have ever done this, but using a big body pillow that you can roll over can work as a replacement for a dress form. That is what I do. It is cheap, (especially if you find one at the thrift store). Which it doesn't help with SHAPE, it does help with getting things balanced.

You're like me I just do, sometimes I don't even have enough fabric. So I have to stop. Or sometimes I upcycle something & I cut what I needed by mistake. So now if I'm making a brand new garment with old used material, I now prepare myself ( thread, correct needle) etc. Im about to upcycle my brothers old shirts. Sooooo cute. I think it could be a cute layering piece with a turtle neck underneath or that peplum belt for a more corsetted look.

This is really cute. I did stock up on some men shirts when the first thirft store open back up with men blazers and shirts on the dollar rack. I just forgot to grab those men jeans at the same price. Dang it! Thanks for showing the alternative way of making this without the deep cleavage.
