Firstly, you are an artist! No one need tell others they’re not. I’ve felt this way at times when comparing my work to others. Creating Art in any mediums is an artistic endeavor. This is an awesome idea; love how it turned out! The minute I saw you making these, I was 🙌🏻…. I need more inspiration for creating resin projects; disguise the limit. I’m subscribing & following.

Hi Zane. I'm not sure about epoxy pastes as I've never worked with them. The acrylic paint works really well (and it's what I had at home :) . Let us know if you do try it! -Jane

Hi Swetha! Thank you so much for watching and your kind comment. We've used watercolor paints for smaller pieces such as these Christmas pendants: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ap2Rodmlx9KXgY0.html . You just want to make sure the paper is completely sealed so that the resin doesn't seep in. -Jane

If I were to use an acrylic paint pen to write the year on the ornament before I poured the resin, do you feel that would show well?

Hi Allison. Definitely! As long as it's a nice contrasting color it will work well.
