Polymer Clay Earrings. DIY Project. JEWELRY TUTORIAL.
In my video I will show you my way to create Pearl Effect on polymer clay , trying to imitate Mother of Pearl Shell Layers.

You will need the following supplies:
•Polymer Clay ( Sculpey Premo ) : mix of white, translucent white, gold, copper
•Clay Blades: Flexible and Stiff.
• Pasta machine
• Uv resin
• Uv resin lamp
• Metalic ink
•Cutters
• Mica pearl powders
• Tools jewelry making
• Oven
• Brash

Love your ideas, these came out stunning. What brush do you use to add the resin to your pieces? I've had such a difficult time finding something that works to add my resin to my pieces (earrings/keychains) . Thank you for your time.

Merci 😊 Je fais cuire ma pâte polymère dans un four ordinaire. Et puis mes pièces cuites j'ajoute de la résine uv et je polymérise dans une lampe à ongles UV / LED 36 W

I also tried a mother-of-pearl imitation recently, but a much less colorful one. I used premo white pearl clay, tinted some of it just slightly with powdered pigment to imitate the iridescent colors, then put together layers of white and color to do a mokume gane technique. This gave me some mica shift effects as well as the colors. Photo here, with some shell textures: boldquestions.files.wordpress.com/2020/07/mother-of-pearl.jpg. And with some imitation paua inlay here: boldquestions.files.wordpress.com/2020/07/mother-of-pearl-with-paua.jpg. If I do this again, I think I'll include some silver in some of my layers, and stronger colors.
