I like you lengthwise design with the round opening/door in the front and the way you welded the ring into the opening to compensate for the difference in sizes. Personally, after running drum stoves for years I don't advocate for internal grates. A layer of dry sand , wood ash or fire brick on the bottom works much better IMH0 . Your draft control ( the valve ) is ALL you should need and it's in the exact right place.you want air flow direction from the front to the back. The only addition I might suggest might be a draft channel on the door covering the valve opening down toward the bottom of the door to put the air supply closer to the hot controls. Good job, lots of ingenuity in your build. I liked your advice of watching as many videos as possible to get ideas rather than, "Do exactly as I tell you, this is the 0NLY way ! ". Thanks for your presentation.

Nice job, I've watched several of the other videos and I REALLY like this one. I have a 12x16 shop that i build custom motorcycles out of and I think this would work perfectly for my shop.

how's the stove holding up? Is the brass valve working to control air flow?

What the hell flew over when you were blowing to stoke the fire.? It made it sound like you were blowing with a flame thrower.

I have a 30 gallon tank stove built the same style, I will tell anyone that it helps to neutralize the perfume left in the tank if you add some bleach to the water and let it sit a while before rinsing.

What did you use for the stack. I recently bought a small stove from Harbour Freight and the pipe that comes with it is too small to create a draft

I used 3" pipe from Home Depot. The kind you put together.

Where do you live that you can’t just return the “unfilable” tank for exchange BlueRhino or whatever brand
