This isn't soap but it is detergent without using much water component and it is not soap but Syndet (synthetic detergent) shampoo bars.

Thank you! You can use another powdered surfactant at your own risk, some of them have a higher pH so they need to be altered.

Is there a difference between regular shampoo and this one? And I'm not sure if botanicals will look great in hair if you won't be able to wash it off. But, love your soap videos)

This shampoo is sls free and more conditioning than regular shampoo. The botanicals are just meant to decorate the bar, definitely not meant to stay in the hair🙂 Thanks!

Thank you! All the ingredients used were acidic or neutral so I didn't find the need to test🙂 If you use alkaline surfactants the pH can be brought down with a citric acid solution

If you want to melt BTMS, put it in the oven at about 175-200 degrees F. Or put it directly on the stove, but watch it carefully. BTMS is very hard to melt.

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that! I don't think it's the best idea, I think extracts have lower usage rates. Shea butter will probably be fine just a little different :)

You can replace it with another powdered surfactant at your own risk. It's not a good idea to replace with more sci because it would go over the maximum allowed usage rate.
