You should put the extra shelf on the top. It’ll make the ceilings look taller! Love the look!

I don't have NEARLY as many shoes as you do, but I have been straight. up. AGONIZING. about how to store them (our closet is small) in an aesthetically pleasing way that wouldn't hinder access to the clothes in the closet. This will actually empty about 1/4 of our closet space AND give me a kind of "art piece" of shoes to display on a bit of wall that's been empty since we moved in! Thanks so much! Lifesaver!

The downside is the width is 26 cm. It's a bit too small to hold the shoes. Normal size of shoes rack is 35 cm in width.

I have the very small lack shelves in a corner with my most ornate shoes and perfume collection. IKEA is so affordable and looks really good. I agree that the wideness makes them look so much more expensive

This is the exact Idea I had in my old place with the IKEA shelves, It just allows your room to be neat and also have a shoe store vibe. This time round I have a cupboard with shelves already built in for my shoes 😃

This looks great. I was hoping to see the shelves put up to see if it’s something I could do or not. You could put another shelf on the bottom and put your flats there and it wouldn’t even necessarily have to be a foot down from the bottom shelf. Can’t wait to see your bags.

I made the same shoe racks with LACK half a year ago. It horribly collected dust! I would spend 15 minutes cleaning the whole thing. Too much fuss for me.

Hi Erika! I've recently moved to Toronto and I am in the process of doing up my apartment here too! I was actually looking at the Lack shelves myself in Ikea. I wanted to put one over my couch in the living room area! But wasn't sure about hanging them as the walls here are quite thin!! How do they go up? What are the fixtures? My walls here are dry wall!
