@@hh7258 Because I’m a Forest school instructor of over 60 kids, I probably got side tracked . I didn’t expect this video to be a tutorial for others. It was more of a fun memory.

Yes it works. The more dark surface exposed to the sun, the more heat you get. The folks that used thin cookie or ginger bread would be more successful. At the end of this short, you see how some of the clear plastic wrap has condensation from steam. Great kid friendly project. The trick is to adjust the reflector to direct the sunlight into a dark box that absorbs heat, creating an oven. The clear wrap lets sun in while trapping the heat. And no, this friendly experiment doesn't insulate enough heat to reach the flashpoint of the cardboard.

Yes it did :) We are in Texas, Full sun for about an hour and things cooked, s’mores cooked of course within like 7 minutes. This is a fun kids project not a solar oven you’d keep
