Hi Everybody Welcome back. This is another interesting video!
I am making a tabletop for an classic style dining table. This one will extend so it possible to sit with a lot of friends around it.
The middle section will have some really cool engravings for playing boardgames.
In another video I will go into the 3d design details and the mechanicals and workings of the table.
So now the parts are ready and the whole is assembled.
The next video about the details is well underway and will show detail stuff for the tech savvy people.

Hi All, this is some details in video format! I hope you can find some insightful stuff here. I did my best to get you the most clear information. The table came out really nice for the situation. Usually I don't get a request for something dark and classical and it did work out.

Wait.... is that the Tree of the King? The White Tree of Gondor?!? And is the lion Aslan by any chance? Also, thanks for the video. I'm thinking of making my own extendable dining table and this method is something I can see myself doing.

Nice looking table! Gone to good home full of nerds by the look of it :) Love the tree on it. Where does the middle panel go when not in use? Clever storage for that somewhere underneath?

Hi dirk, hahaha yes no shame. The tree is probably the best looking of the four. They store it somewhere in house. Yes its possible to make a small compartment for drink storage. Good suggestion man!

This is very helpful, Sebastian! I am putting together a plan for 55-inch slides for my dining room table. What are the dimensions and what kind of wood did you use for your slides? I am looking at making dovetail slides as they are more straightforward and I am a beginner!

Sorry Sebastiaan, de uitleg rammelt nogal. Wel benieuwd hoe de tafel in de praktijk bevalt. Waarom niet een dubbele zwaluwstaart gebruikt? Dat slijt waarschijnlijk minder dan het eiken in de runners.
