I can't believe how lucky you were finding that table! By far my fave. And $11! The resell places around me are full of stuff that looks like it was taken from the dump. I need your store! Loved the vases too!

Hahah thanks so much! Honestly it is such luck and so hit or miss! That day I went thrift shopping was a week day and I've never had that much luck! So maybe try the thrift shops during the week if you can!

We love the same things in the same order. The table was a fantastic fine, here's an idea you could also paint geometric patterns on it in a minimalist way ,using either a light grey or like a mud cloth design in soft peach/terracotta colours. Thanks for inspiring on this Friday morning, now I'm going to get outter bed and make my curtains. Xxx

I’m freaking out about the baking soda hack! I have been wanting to purchase terra cotta spray paint but it’s so expensive for just a can. I CANNOT wait to do this!!

Omg I was in the same boat as you with the spray terra cotta! I actually think the baking soda works out a little better than the spray version too because it's more textured! ❤️

I absolutely love this video...even your personal information about the sponsor, I typically skip past all sponsor talk in all videos. Your table is gorgeous but my favourite is the kids toy. It amazes me how you were able to see something that was purposely created to entertain small children and turn it into a uniquely stunning adult accent piece. Thank you for doing and showing your paint test as I have wanted to try using this medium. Interesting to see this especially because I was told to use baking powder not baking soda. Now I am going to try both to see if there’s a different result and which is more successful. Thank you again ❤️Shannon

I can’t choose a favorite, it’s either the table or vases! You are so creative and gorgeous! Where do you get your pampas grass and dried/faux plants in your vases:)

Thanks so much Celia! All the plants in the vases are dried and most of them are just wild grasses I see growing around that I randomly pick 😆🙈. The mini dried flowers I got from home sense (home goods in the US) but I've seen them online on afloral.com as well if you're in the US!

Instead of Baking Soda, use original (no corn starch) baby powder, it gives a LOT better coverage than Baking Soda....and when you do, give Miss Holly the credit from Hot Humble Pie's craft video's. She is who I learned it from!

Maybe grasscloth wallpaper? Getting crisp edges on the sides of the arch might be a bit challenging but it might work?

Yay to a fellow Canadian! I honestly have been to every value village in the GTA 🙈. All of them are hit or miss except that the ones downtown specifically suck. Check out any of them in the suburbs and go on a week day if you can (lots of the good things get picked through by the weekend). Hope that helps!

Thanks so much! I usually go to value village but I'm trying to find more neighborhood thrift shops because they tend to be less picked through. Also try going on week days because at least where I am a lot of the good stuff is gone by the weekend!
