My gardener friend once told me that in his first year of work, he accidentally ran over a row of a client’s prized roses with a ride on mower! 😱 Fortunately the roses were the best they had ever been come spring🤗🌹so I’m sure you can’t go wrong!

I got Covid for the 1st time a couple weeks ago and I still have a slight cough , so I get were you are coming from. A antique rose nursery in Texas said in a workshop I went to that Roses should be pruned back no later than Valentines day. Easy to remember at least.

I’m so sorry you got that nasty flu that is going around. I’m one of the few wearing a mask when I go out; so far, so good. I don’t need that on top of recovering from a broken hip/replacement. Your gardens look beautiful even now without flowers and that view was worth the price of the chateau. The kitchen looks like a showroom but I can’t wait for the backsplash when Bruce arrives. I think you will enjoy your next retreat even more because all the guest rooms are finished as are the bathrooms, thus you won’t feel so frazzled by all the last minute details. When Iam in the garden to work on a quick clean up I bought a plastic bucket with built in handles to carry around the yard from a dollar store ! Makes clean up easier and as you go just a thought Iam sure can find one in france or something else! I also bought a gorrila dump cart cannot live without it life easier in the garden when no man around to do heavy lifting cannot wait to get back in the garden but won't be till probably end of March in Ontario though plus 16 celcius on Friday in February we will take have a great Valentines treat your self Abby you deserve it! I bought my old guy a card it will be 4 years on the 25th of this month he passed ! And will toast him on the 14th ! Because I can ! Have a great week !😀😍

I so love that wallpaper! Would you reconsider placing it on the fireplace wall? That way you could enjoy its magnificence while you loll in your sumptuous bed eating bonbons? Too, you/people could see it as they walk into the room. With the windows and the fireplace you wouldn't need as much yardage of paper. Just a thought. You do you.

The colors for the bedroom are gorgeous. My only concern is that such light baseboards will get dirty or dingy looking over time and ware.
