This was great. Thank you for this video and for showing that it doesn't have to be showy to be good!

Personally I would have used some sort of joinery for the carcass, however the screws and glue are plenty strong for what it is plus this would turn a half day job into weeks. The coin shim idea I thought was brilliant! And the chest turned out very nice. Well done.

Superb, and very interesting to watch a professional! I would’ve ordered bigger handles on the sides though, these things get heavy fast.

Please show us a follow-up video of the tool chest after it has been in service, and sort of a "tour" of the tool arrangement you store in it!

I ended up selling it but i have future plans to build a much larger one

That's a lot of work in a short period of time, and the result looks great. For what that material would cost in my area you could just buy a brand new SnapOn tool box.

This is so neat!!!! I want to try one like it... maybe not as tall! What dimensional lumber did you used to start with? I thought it was plywood but the 2nd time around - it’s not!
@jlistdiy2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I used cherry hardwood that I cut down and milled on my sawmill it's 3/4 inch thick
@bugfeet732 жыл бұрын
Wow! No wonder it’s such big boards!! Can’t get them that big at HD.
@bugfeet732 жыл бұрын

@jlistdiy2 жыл бұрын
@@bugfeet73 you can achieve the same results with plywood like oak or birch or check with your local sawmill they should have wide boards
