Ah yes, the first thing I do with my ball joints after fighting for 3 hours to get them to pop is make a $10 tool with them.

Reminds me of that old comedy sketch where some workmen start with a plank of wood. Then after 8 hours of cutting and shaping they end up making a door wedge

Nice repurpose of an old tie rod but dang, that was alot of work for a nutcracker that wont work as well as a store bought one
