The tools and supplies which I used include:
1. I used Sculpey III in my video but it is very soft, so use Sculpey Polymer Clay Premo (White) instead

4. Clay cutters
5. Baking sheet or parchment paper
6. Oil (to soften the clay)

Hello 👋 thank you! I bought a separate oven to bake the earrings. Don’t want to risk contaminating the house oven 🙂

did the sculpey 3 work well for you? I was under the impression that sculpey 3 does not work well for earrings...

Hi Carol, it worked well for me in this case because the translucent clay was hard and dry and I needed a softer white clay to gel well with it. However if you’re going to make a fully white piece I wouldn’t recommend using sculpey 3. 🙂

Sculpey lll is not recommend for jewellery as it breaks easily and be careful using water as it’s not compatible with all the brands, if you cut straight onto the work surface the clay won’t stick in the cutters and use a tissue blade to get off there and tent your pieces with foil while baking to avoid them burning

I agree. It is very soft and hard to work with. I think it worked well for me in this case because it was largely made of translucent clay, but 100% won’t recommend using it alone. Thanks for your comment! There’s so much to learn 🫶🏻
