It has been a long wait with these worms eating all the food and bedding and now I'm ready to throw in some fresh food and see if we can bait the worms out of the castings so we can harvest.

I've never seen such a large bait container! You should attract quite a crowd. I suggest you be ready to grab worms underneath the container when you remove it because the food juices will drip down through the holes into the castings immediately underneath. I'm looking forward to the results! ~ Sandra

It is but I have had issues with smaller containers where the worms gather around. I figure a lot will be underneath which is an advantage of the large container I can easily scoop and throw them in!

Hi there Noel. I guess we all do things a wee bit differently. I don’t put holes on the bottom of my bait trays. Depending on the size of the container I put holes down to the bottom in to half inch that way the juices of the bait food lure them and keep them in the jar and then I gingerly remove the tray because sometimes some are found half in half out. TFS your system and your process.

I haven't mastered the baitbox yet so I lightharvest my bins. But baiting them would be a lot less tedious. Nice video. Keep them coming

I have quite a few spiders in the basement now but once they come upstairs they get squashed!

I move my worms the exact same way. But I use a few old french fryer cooking baskets lol I do what you just did to bait worms out of castings. Then dump everything into new bedding. Repeat, Repeat tell worms are out.... What I also do to get them all out faster is..... For their last feeding I'll put , lets say, a slice of watermelon. They love it , its fast eaten . Right when that's gone,, I get handfuls of worms with some castings . I fill my other basket then put that basket into the new beding with food already in it. My worms move so much faster out of their casting into the new bed. Than out of castings into the new bedding thats in the basket 😂 😂 I have no idea why,🤷‍♀ I use all the same shredded cardboard cheers from Toronto 🪱🪱🪱
